simple snake game
I'm currently challenging myself with "Game a Week".
For the 38th week, I created a Snake game.
The snake says it wants to eat an apple.
Huh? You're asking where the snake and the apple are?
The blue block in front of you is the snake.
The block with a red circle on it is the apple.
If I say it's a snake, then it's a snake. If I say it's an apple, then it's an apple. Got it?
Now, let's guide the snake to the apple!
The only thing you can do is tell the snake which direction to go.
The snake won't stop moving.
If your instructions are too slow, it will crash into a wall or its own body.
If that happens, it's game over.
Let's grow the snake as much as possible without crashing!
【Controls】
・Use the arrow keys or the WASD keys to change the snake's direction.
・Press the Escape key (ESC) to pause the game.
【How to Play】
1 Select a difficulty level on the home screen.
There are three options: "NORMAL," "EASY," and "HARD."
The snake's movement speed changes depending on the difficulty level.
2 Select a game mode.
There are two modes: "Eat Half" and "Eat It All."
- In "Eat Half," you win by growing the snake to cover 40 tiles.
- In "Eat It All," you win by covering all 81 tiles with the snake.
Note:
In "Eat It All," depending on where the apple appears, it might be impossible to clear the game.
I’m not great at calculations, so I’m not sure if it's always possible.
If you want to challenge yourself and see how big you can grow the snake, give it a try!
